After the server came back up, my SBR started working fine again.
However, sometime every single night, it drops the wireless link. In
the morning when I want to listen to the news, I can't re-connect and
the SBR actually says there's no wireless connection detected and it
will not re-connect. No update on the weather app, etc, so the link is
definitely down. The only way I can get it working is to "jump start"
it via connecting it via ethernet cable and getting it running on that.
Then, I can disconnect the cable and point it to my wireless network and
it connects and works great for the rest of the day. It will even work
when I go to bed and listen to it on the sleep timer. However, the next
morning, it's off-line again and can't reconnect unless I do the
ethernet cable trick. I did try a factory reset this morning, so I'll
see if that helps. I was avoiding it because it's such a PITA to set
back up. If that doesn't work, then I'll see if I can't hook up a spare
wireless router to the SBR via ethernet cable and link that router to my
main router effectively bypassing the wireless component in the SBR. If
that doesn't work, my SBR will just about be due for a date out in the
desert with a round of 12 gauge 00 buckshot...
