Thanks for the quick update Michael. I did end up making an edit to the 'server.prefs' file and this fixed the problem but it sure will be easier if I could have done it through the LMS GUI.
The change would handle this automatically. The user wouldn't even notice. Except that volume was working again :-)
Hopefully Andrew will have a current version of LMS when he releases the Vortexbox 2.3 software in the next few months.
It's probably the one important change in 7.7.4 which didn't make it into an official release yet. If you tell Andrew about it he might prepare an updated file or something.
