yes, check with something like the program "inSSIDer" what channels
nearby wifi networks are using.  Use 1, 6, or 11 if possible. Don't
channel use > 11, even if outside US. Don't use "auto channel" in
router. Don't "hide" SSID in your router (this is zero security anyhow,
as you'll discover with inSSIDer).
