What platform, OS, LMS version are you on? Could you please double-check you have all updates for the OS, Perl (if possible) etc. installed? If you're on Windows, then please update to the latest I have built today.
I think there's currently a number of issues caused by outdated certificates and/or OpenSSL libraries. Some services did recently announce updates of their certificates - Napster being one of them. But they announced it for later this year...
