I started a thread about some of these problems in the LMS forum. I found a solution to my problems re SB's not connecting to Orbi Mesh. Others in that thread asked me to post the solution here.
You can find all the discussion under: "Orb Mesh and Inability to Connect" https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?114379-Orbi-Mesh-and-Inability-to-Connect to see the symptoms, suggestions, and my somewhat uninspired, rough attempts to solve my problem. I don't really have time to go through everything. My issue was hooking a new Orbi mesh to a Tmobile home modem/internet. i turned off all wireless on the T mobile but didn't do more than that to its settings. You can see more details on the original thread. Here is what worked for me: Update #2: We may have a solution. Disabling "ax features on 2.4" in the Orbi router interface (Advanced/Setup/Wireless) seems to have done the trick. I have 3 SB's running on Orbi mesh wireless communicating with LMS, playing library and streaming. Two are even synced without problems. Now it is a matter of time and longevity of connection. Has been an hour. New record. A bonus: my older security cameras started falling off the Orbi network also. They would not recognize the main network, only the [Name of Network]_EXT SSID. That worked initially but after 10 days was getting shaky. When I disabled the ax features, the cameras recognized the main network and the connection now seems solid. So, barring surprises, I seem to have solved my problem related to Orbi, SB's, and old cameras. I will report back if there are additional problems. Maybe you techie folks can figure out how this helped. Have no idea what wireless protocol is running on 2.4 now with "ax features disabled" but it works. I am happy not to go to AP mode and happy (at the moment) not to mess with DHCP.
