well, that's a pretty negative take...but probably a pretty accurate
summary of the family of radio woes threads. :)

unfortunately, there seems to be no one size fits all, and no real good
solutions if you want to run untethered (battery), but the range
extender/vonet solution has helped a few that don't mind running then on
adaptor with ethernet plugged into a gizmo (not router). What also has
not been suitably ruled out is the radio hardware itself, an achilleas
heel?, aging?, etc but no one is in a position to quantify.

Are we reaching the radio apocalypse where all radios have reached their
end of life? Don't know, I have I think 8 of them, red, black and white,
and they all work fine :) But I am very rural, my wifi is the only one
in play.
