Well, there goes the rural/urban theory! :)

my post was intended to be very tongue in cheek, but there is no doubt
something is going on with the radios. You don't see the same chatter
here with the touch, boom, pi's, etc. Perhaps that is contributed to by
the sheer volume produced? I don't know the sales stat, maybe someone
does, but if it is the best selling, I can see why, as you don't need a
kit, portability, etc. Maybe it's a defective part in the radio, but it
seems like issues are very common all of a sudden which leads to the
network hardware changes issue.

I have offered in the past, and am still willing to send a known good
radio (in the US) to a user having a problem to see if my radio behaves
badly in their environment. I am willing to pay postage out, just ask
for post to return, or, send me the troublesome radio to test.

In the mean time it seems to me like alot of people have found solutions
for the stationary radios (no battery, no need to move around). It seems
like the holy grail of solutions is to get the radio working with no
"help"

I also take it that there are no schematics, parts lists, etc remaining
from the development?
