POMdev, one of you earlier posts mentioned the Wifi chip is Atheros
6002.  (It took me a while to find that in the search.)

I am wondering if someone tech savy could attempt to contact the
manufacturer about an updated firmware that might solve the problem. 
Probably a long shot, but perhaps someone might be sympathetic to our
problem.  The difficulty will be finding that person with knowledge
about the chip.  Perhaps the company might care about the conflicts that
are occurring so future chips will not have the problem.
