Asus "Smart Connect" seems to be a load management by the router to
spread devices across 3 bands (2.4Ghz and 2 5Ghz) all sharing same
SSID.
IIRC Some user reported problems with some dual/tri band routers if
2.4GHz and 5GHz networks had same SSID.

Wifi 6 (aka 802.11ax) compatible routers also implement a lot of
previous standards/features which may still be a separate setting in
router.
Logitech Squeezebox are old so do NOT support or can have problems
with:
* 20MHz/40MHz - aka Channel Bonding. Only 20MHz will work.
* AP Roaming aka 802.11r  (maybe also 802.1k & 802.11v)
* "better" WLAN performance by changing RTS and CTS timing.

A while ago (maybe no longer an issue), some router power saving
measures when router thinks devices as idle can cause devices to
disconnect.
