Thank you for the additional guidance. I appreciate the struggle of achieving 
high information density and readability at each scale.

If you’ll pardon me lapsing back into a technical discussion, I noticed that 
the 
[`raster-resampling`](https://maplibre.org/maplibre-style-spec/layers/#raster-resampling)
 option defaults to linear filtering, which is optimized for raster photography 
rather than a raster basemap. It leads to blurry overscaling compared to 
nearest neighbor filtering. However, your guidelines specifically caution 
against resampling. Of the two, I wonder if there’s a method that remains more 
faithful to the intended design? Perhaps it depends on whether we round or 
floor the zoom level? Or is it a wash so long as the map has incremental 
zooming enabled? (This may need some experimentation; I don’t expect you to 
have all the answers in the context of MapLibre.)
