Thanks for the feedback and for the help with the environment troubleshooting.
I’ve decided to step back from this PR for now until I can get my local
Docker/Windows environment fully functional for visual verification.
I don't want to take up more of the reviewers' time without being able to
verify the UI changes myself. I'll close this for now, but feel free to use the
logic from my latest commit if anyone else wants to take this over.
