This doesn't seem likely to be an openstreetmap-website issue as the production
map API call isn't run by openstreetmap-website. Given the [5xx errors over the
last
hour](https://prometheus.openstreetmap.org/d/3yhv0DtGz/cdn?orgId=1&from=2026-05-02T19:00:00.000Z&to=2026-05-02T20:00:00.000Z&timezone=utc&var-service_name=OSM%20Website%20CDN&var-datacenter=$__all&refresh=1m&viewPanel=panel-31)
I'm also skeptical on "trivial".
A new API call (or new functionality to an existing one) would belong here.
