Hi everyone, Just wanted to thank you for your feedback so far. Because I think the feedback has been excellent, and the need is certainly there, I have committed myself to moving forward with organizing the Ruby conference.
I will be sending out other emails to get suggestions and help with details like possible venues (and if you know them, costs, etc). To get started, I will also be doing research as to the best time of year to hold the event (February has be suggested) and who you'd ideally like to see presenting. If you do want to be directly involved in helping to organize the event, please feel free to contact me and we'll arrange a first 'RubyConf' team meeting, be it in person or teleconference if there are people from other locations.
