Accepting credit cards from overseas shouldn't be a problem; that's
generally how they all work.  Generally none of them are what you'd
call cheap though.  Which is, I think, the only reason PayPal still
exists.

I'm currently looking through the NAB Transact docs, it seems okay --
I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts though.
