You can only use stripe.com in Australia if you have an American bank account and SSN.
I know of someone who setup a subsidiary of their Pty Ltd company in Aus, with a LLC in Delaware and opened a bank account with Chase in order to use Stripe.com, this whole process took about a day and cost $~600.
