Michael: I definitely felt that a ruby-based async solution would be
reinventing what most mailservers actually do internally, and will end
up consuming a lot more resource.
Ben: I forgot about Postmark. I think for this type of "transactional"
mail its ideal, and seems the most pain-free. There are even drop-in
replacement gems for action mailer which may make life even easier.
