Oh Jonathan we would all be so grateful. I loved BSTC! I really loved NULC, but the ART, I am sorry was rather sad. That is the only one I have complaints about. You were there when I went through NULC and you know how much I enjoyed that. The amount of creativity that went into BSTC and NULC along with the enthusiasm in the presentation so much more of a draw to me.
Maybe it's because in ART while I was in the pavilion learning how to make Bibles from felt and bars of soap and gluing cotton balls on construction paper bunnies I could see others practicing Sword fighting (GMA Jimmy) and some on there way to shoot muskets. Can't imagine why I was not excited...but I glued and I stuck with the program. Have you been able to save NULC? If you do I will complete all the training I need as I would love to be on staff for that...scary huh? We hold a variety of training events this same weekend at our campground -- LTC camp-out, SA/B day camps (Book IV of the LTC material), blackpowder training course, and some advanced classes that change from time to time. We are continuing to make changes to this training, and hopefully those who went through the SA/B training this past August had a more positive experience than Kelly had when she went through. In August we pilot tested the new training materials for the Ranger Kids leaders and the new training camp-out at our ART. Both went very well, and will be released nation-wide next March along with the rest of the new program.
