Rene: My husband has had great success at breakfast with oatmeal, yes oatmeal. He uses Quaker Quick Oats and prepares in a margarine tube a mixture of butter, brown sugar and raisins. Lots of brown sugar and raisins, should be just about the color of chocolate milk. He said the boys could get enough of that.
Also prepared ahead he makes a good beef broth and has each boy bring a vegetable that he likes and they make a communal soup. He said the boys really ate that up as well. He also takes good lunch meat like ham or turkey for sandwiches (not bologna). Chris takes great pride in feeding the boys good healthy food that they will eat and he been very stubborn about that and has gotten on one of his commanders who brought nothing but Twinkies and chips and such. I have seen the boys right when they come home and they are all happy and satisfied and complimentary of Commander Chris' food. Hope this helps.
