While on the topic of scouting,

I had heard this on the radio this morning (WWMC out of Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA) "If Christianity is a religious "DUTY," then God is not interested in it because it is not genuinely meant from your heart and it is only being done to serve some ritual or tradition." If going to church was my duty, Whose time am I really wasting here? Christianity comes from the heart, it is not a DUTY. It is a choice that is accepted freely. It is not an obligation or assignment.
As for respecting others in religion and convictions. A Royal Ranger is taught this by the Golden Rule.  He has the choice to accept what the other person is saying or representing or reject it just as he has the choice to accept or reject Christ.  He doesn't have to like. It many cases all he can do about it is begin to pray about it, whatever it maybe.

Just wanted to add my .02 cents

God Bless,

Iron Mike
