This is not an epitaph per. se., but it is something I have remembered since
I was about a Pioneer's age.

There was a man back home by the name of Bob Gillespie (pronounced
gil-es'-pee) who owned Gillespie Insurance Company. For a while they gave
out ash trays as a promotional item. In the bottom of the ash tray was the
following inscription:

Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust
Gillespie Insurance
Is a name you can trust.

Here's another one;
Here lies John McCray, he died as a result of a piece of lead, he was shot
by the
police.

McCray was a local villian around Windsor in the early 1800's. He was shot
whilst
trying to escape the police.

I looked into my life to see he lives there as well.
