One other thing.  If every one of the commanders earn the medal then the
Senior Commander earns the outpost Commanders medal along with Leaders
Service medal.  It is all in your leaders manual.  If I was a senior
Commander I would be helping my Commanders all earn the medal.  Helping them
filling out the forms.  Keeping track of points etc...  Here is something to
think about.  I am going to write this in caps for the benefit of all.

HOW CAN YOU EXPECT THE BOYS TO HAVE THE DRIVE AND DESIRE TO ADVANCE WHEN
YOU CANT ADVANCE YOURSELF?  THERE ARE LITTLE EYES WANTING AND DESIRING TO BE
YOU.

BE THERE BEST EXAMPLE.

Hey ALL,
This is what I have always been saying. An advancement by you makes them feel more relatable to you, That you are working to better yourself just as they are. They feel the same excitement you feel when you have finally got something accomplished and it also makes it seem more worthwhile and that you are not really above them but with them.  Hmmm. Who else do we know that didn't want to be above them but with them?
When I was on the mission field, I was told that missionaries don't go out there and just keep putting out and putting out, they get additional training, better tools for them to do the job with that can help them to advance in their mission. It was about the people they were trying to reach but it was also about their being prepared to do it. I have always been a supporter of a continuing education program for commanders here above and beyond LTC and NTC/BSTC . I believe it would better ourselves so we can better those boys. It would challenge us more than a bunch of Pioneers roughhousing with the Buckaroos or Missionettes.
Just my thought on the matter.

God Bless,
