Yes I agree with what you have said. However if we raise a good honest hardworking clean and all the other great traits and don't lead him to Christ all is in vain. He will break hell wide open. I can't remember a time or event that we didn't have a council fire service of some kind. If I have not at least done that I feel I am no different than a soccer coach, music teacher, what ever have you. Good works is only for this life. Eternal soul is forever.
I agree with you. I teach character and it is very important to me. My daily walk, talk path is important and needs to be kept as an example of what Life in Christ is all about. The boys that I reach out to through Rangers see me at my very best and at my very worst because Rangers puts you in touch with a live ministry where most every facet of a boys life you share and do with them. Every event, every outing. Every meal. Every day. My goal is as stated below. Soul Winning is the invitation, Teaching is the hands on activities, Keeping is giving them something that makes them want to come back for more. Keeping is the hardest part. We both agree on that. When I talk about Reaching, Teaching and Keeping that stands for Both Christ and Rangers as Rangers points right back to Christ. My emblem points sometimes get out of focus. I have seen some commanders that focus on the spiritual side so much that he isn't able to keep them in the program. Others focus on the physical side and ignore the harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God. When my points get out of wacky..its time for a tune up by the HOLY GHOST!!!!!
