Good commentary, Mark -you summed up my feelings about these issues. I knew
that Duane wasn't dead because I followed the whole story and realized it
for a prank.
This campfire has some pranksters - some who live on the edge and keep us on
our toes and thats ok. We are all different-God created us that way.
And there are those of us who are very sensitive. Sometimes too sensitive
but we are all learning to live with each and love each other no matter how
much the enemy would like to destroy our fellowship and make us angry with
each other. But we can't let him get away with it.
Know the enemy and his weapons. Don't let him sneak up on you and hit you
with a blow. Keep your armour pulled on tight, always "ready" to do battle
and nip his efforts in the bud.
This can be a very effective tool for the kingdom if we use it right and are
careful not to step on toes and attack our fellow brothers by accusations.
Forgive quickly and let the name of Jesus be glorified. Jesus said to love
your enemies and pray for those who use you!
If an unbeliever dropped in and heard what we were talking about would he be
turned to the Lord by the exhibition of the fruits of the Spirit.
We had a boy drop in to Rangers and we got off on the wrong foot with him
and proceeded to rip him into pieces when all of a sudden it came out that
he wasn't even a Christian and never went to church. I felt bad &
immediately opologized to him for my anger. He came into our worship group
and we all got to lay hands on him and pray for him. I don't know if he
will be back and I couldn't blame him if he doesn't. I would hate to think
that I sent a soul off to hell because of an attitude problem.
I know that I will be more careful of how speak and react to everyone in the
future.
Bob Simons

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future. Jer. 29:11
