Before the pendulum swings too violently I would like to state, that I would stick out if I would wear Lederhosen in downtown Newark, Arkansas. ( They have a nice S-Gospel station there). Then order a Fleischwurstbr�tchen at the local Hamburger joint. I just do not possess the uncomplicated way of thinking that our US-brothers have. They were brought up that way and built a great nation under God. I wish I would have some of that american thinking ( I am talking about the original and basics from way back). But then we were brought up differently than the US-bretheren. So, when I walk down the street of Newark AR I put on hillbilly garb, chew on a straw and say Howdy a lot. We were taught when in Rome to do as the Romans do .
I remember when in 1975 at Eurofest in Brussels Evie Tornquist appeared on stage and greeted 10 000 european young christians with "I love you all !" She noticed the groan coming from 10 000 voice boxes. And learned quickly and was liked by 10 000 young people. We can thank God that he has allowed room for tons of different cultures and races. There we can apply His wisdom, to learn from Him how he would apply for the necessary paperwork for Belgium. Bring the fruit of the Spirit out in the open here in Europe. And let this not be stifled by flippantly walzing on the scene with waving a Calgary transit busticket in front of customs. Thank you America for still sending missionaries our way. We "know" how it goes- Many Americans are too eager to take what the TV says as "gospel" because it is packaged as.. "Gospel" we buy it lock,stock,barrel. I beleve this is due to the origins of how Preachers proclaimed the word of God for many years. If you stand on a stump in Texas.. you have a fair chance of being understood by the "assembly.." that creates a "following" and shortly you send it out via obiting spacecraft! If that *honest man of God sends the same Texas "verbage" to Europe his words may be recieved as- simplistic or even hostile! Dr.Marcus Whitman was a "Christian" But to the Indians he was "magic man"... they killed him. This is hard to understand as Royal Rangers, as we beleve we are ONE in the Lord.. and *are, when we are.. *In the Lord.. One Lord-One World. Thus- *I was told that the "Christian ethic" in Austrailia is such that they support social welfare, health care ect. The current USA "Christian ethic" would label that "Liberal" and not share the same ethical understanding.. Likewise Texas freely uses "capitol punishement" and the church backs it as a "Conservitive value" ala GW Bush.
