Allow me to pipe in as a "woman." The new uniform, which I must say is downright unattractive is actually no more unattractive then much of the female khaki uniforms I've seen. For one thing there was no uniformity. At all.
However, I am happy to see that we won't be required to attend day camps in our past the knee skirts, pantyhose (sorry gentlemen), and high heels! We will no longer have to concern ourselves with windy days and can we sit on the ground cross legged with the boys again pardon me gentlemen). I understand I am a renegade and a trouble maker, but I admit I was tired of going to day camps wearing my class "B" uniform shirt and khaki walking shorts and just waiting for some commander (male or female) to take me to task and correct me on my attire. They would of course be correct in doing so, but I believe it was inappropriate to require the aforementioned past the knee skirts, pantyhose (sorry gentlemen yet again), and high heels in the first place.
