Each event that I attend has had a "uniform of the day" specification eith because it was explicitly stated, or because I asked. Each event is different. Outdoor events I preferred Ranger Tshirts & jeans because they are durable and kept the uniform safe from harm. Indoor events are usually class B, but everyone is different. When in doubt, just ask.
