Clint, I support you in what you were trying to say.  While there are lots of 
kids out there with ADD/ADHD (and other problems), and a lot of parents who 
have lovingly cared for these kids and sometimes been at there wits end as to 
what to do, other than pray, there are A LOT of kids who are misdiagnosed 
because their parents don't or won't discipline them and raise them as they 
should.  I have a nephew with ADHD, and he would be lost without the 
medication he needs.

BUT...

in school who are undisciplined at home is to "label them" and medicate them.  
I have the same concerns you do about this.  By the time an undisciplined kid 
gets a few years into the school system, it's too late for the schools to do 
much else.  Especially when there is no support for a disciplined lifestyle at 
home, and the parents can't handle the child either.
