Hmmm... you could try:
* More exercise
* Oil the wheels & pedals
* Reconnect the pedals to the wheels
* Get the whole outpost behind you pushing or ahead of you pulling with a rope
In PNG, tow trucks are usually not available, and you sometimes need to be pulled out of a very bad spot in the road. You would be amazed what happens when you tie a large rope on the front of the vehicle and get everyone around pulling in the same direction.
BTW, we did have an RRGold mailing list for a while that just carried the best stuff, but nobody was moderating it and feeding it, so it died a natural death due to starvation.
