That reminds me of an incident I had with one boy. This particular boy had been on my heart for months. When I would pray his face would flash before me, so I would pray the best I knew how. This went on for about a year and all along, it would frustrate me because when I would teach a lesson and make an "alter call" he would never respond. After about a year of this I finally said to myself, "that's it, I'm going to pull him aside and ask him about being saved. So one day after class I asked him to stay after class. He must have thought he was in trouble cause he seemed a little sheepish. I assured him he wasn't in trouble. I began by telling him how he'd been in my heart and how God would have me pray for him almost daily. Then I asked him the big question "are you saved", he said yes. I didn't really feel he was sure so I broke it down the best I knew how. I explained what I meant. I said "so your saying that if you were to die right now you're sure you'll go to heaven?" I said that same thing about three different ways before he answered "I don't want to die RIGHT NOW..." (I thought that was funny....) I assured him that I didn't mean he had to die RIGHT NOW but that the day he did die, was he sure he would go to heaven. He responded that NO he wasn't sure. That was my open door. So I took it. I told him how he could be sure by just asking Jesus into his heart. We read a few scriptures that confirmed it. So I asked him "would you like to ask Jesus into your heart?" I also told him "you don't have too, I'll still like you no matter what your answer. Don't do it for me." He said yes. So we prayed and he accepted Jesus into his heart.... Then he went out to play with the other boys. WOW!! The world never seemed so right! For the rest of that night I was on top of the world! The sense of knowing I was in the Will of God was great! What a feeling! (Sometimes we may know we're in God's will but there's no feeling that go along with it, but not that night.) That night I had lead someone to Christ and It felt great!

I went to a day camp about two years ago. I was the commander of a small outpost and the only boy that would go to day camp that year was my son. We loaded up early that morning and drove 1.5 hours to the camp. We had a blast that day. My son still talks about it at times. The thing I remember the most was the hay ride. We loaded on to the wagon and found the perfect hay bale to make as our seat for the ride. The driver fired up the old tractor and it spit and sputtered for a little bit and then we were off. The boys all cheered. We drove quite aways from the camp and as we turned to go back the old tractor gave a couple of coughs and died. We prayed hard for we didn't want to walk back. But John Deer was dead. There would be no raising him from the dead that day.The driver told us to stay in the wagon and he would walk back and get his truck. Oh, man, have you ever been setting out in the middle of a poison ivy and snake infested field with 15 boys ages 5-7 in the middle of a Oklahoma July? It was no picnic. A boys attention span is a lot shorter when he is seated upon a hay bale and some one has just spotted a big black snake slithering up the tree next to you.But one of the lady commanders seated at the back of the wagon began to sing "No you can't ride in my little hay wagon". All the boys joined in and before long the driver was back with his truck and he connected the wagon to the truck and pulled us back. The boys sang that silly song all the way back and my boy even sang it on the ride home.Isn't it great when God turns your thunderstorm into a blessed shower of rain?
