Cdr.Marriot picked up the broken toy. he glued it back into a differnt shape than is apparent at Euro-camp. *I'm saying the old-old program wasn't broke and didn't need a new fix.. *Just that everone lost touch with the joy of outdoor experiances. > > *That said.. Jesus is Christ.. and he is in the center where two or more gather in his name. *Not every act of this life is to be Christ centered. We welcome education and employment and experiance the outdoors.. *mindfull of Christ but not to the exclusion of good hearted fellowship. And if you look at the new program the patrol > system > > was not done away. And leadership developement is still in > exictence "Bull-pucky on a stick." Why would a "boy" want to be a Ranger leader? He'd rather throw a rock in a lake or wave a stick in the fire and say "look at me". *That's untapped leadership! You don't teach Leadership out of a pre-packaged sermon. you 'develop it by pratical experiance. You also use the talent of the "back row" and make the job real for the boys involved. > > *When you look at Euro-Rangers.. you see them embraceing something > > USA Rangers traded away for a primarily evangelical agenda. Is that where they stand in starched uniforms and snap to attention at your command? We won ROY all the time and still.. the church shut Trailblazers down. ROY is totaly useless.. *What is of use is what happens inside a group of boys on an adventure out of sight of "Commander".. *You make that work and you did something worthwhile. the > program is as > good as the outposts want it to be > > > Euro-Ranger leaders hold a different attitude.. one of a "scouting > spirit" > > where they mix in with the kids to assist them to achieve something > and > > gain self-confidence at a task. *The true worth of the program for > > them is found in what it does inside the heart, from relationships and > > from challanges. > > > > All this has not been addressed by US Royal Rangers. > > i think if its not in your section ask why i dont believe it is > a wide spread nor fair anaysis nationwide. get involved if your > area section > > does not have jltc camps and other opportunitys find out why > be the > > spark to start something God bless you in your endeaver to help > a > > ranger excel in all areas physically mentally and spirital Harry > smith Yea... Shut it down<G> *I want to be a German Royal Ranger! Here's what you Harry don't care about.. ----------------------------------------- *Valderee- valder-ahh valder-ah Val der Hahahahaha...<G> RR don't have to be "so heavy" ..as in burden or effort. It should be a joy, it should be a family activity and opportunity for adventure.. not a 2 bit khaki-clad para-military boondoggle. My shoes never were shiney.. I allways wore hike'n boots and the "perfect uniform" is the one that comes off the 50 mile hike. I don't need a good preach'n from a fatman.. *I can find Integrity anywhere by walking up a hill. ..*I also susspect there is "joy" in the Euro-Ranger camp. I'll trade my coonhat and patch collection for that anytime over being friends with "Bro.Big Shot" Yup- > > *Given the chance, I'd choose Euro-Rangers over the US version. *Dine on the hay and spew the sticks- -=A#1=- > > ===== *High MORALE is the Index of effective Leadership. --------------********+********-------------------- Morale raises belief of the Leader in the follower, of the follower in the Leader, of each in themself, and both in the .....cause! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
