Greeting friends, this morning we, our Coyote-patrol arrived home from Scandianvia. After 16hrs non-stop driving, except for the ferry crossing, straight down from the West coast of Sweden. Alternating driving between boy-patrol and McKenzie did the trick.
At Eurocamp trading got into some swing and lo and behold, the Swedish OP from Link�ping traded the ingredience for good ole Moose berry pie ! They picked the "berries" in the forest, laquered it, stuck a flat magnet to the side and now it can be stuck to the fridge door. I stuck mine to the computer housing. Looks neat. I was informed by some RR-Swede at Eurocamp, that you can make paper out of the berries since it it is cellulose because Mr. Bullwinkle eats the twigs from trees. He told me that he has already done that, making paper I mean. So the Cowboy cook is not even that far off. BTW, after Eurocamp we went over to Sweden and build four rafts with truck tubes and plywood sheets for 22 people and had a whale of a time. It took the boys and girls a whole day to build. Then at 2km/hr we floated down the river. They kids enjoyed that tremendously and at evening we landed at some site, baked bread on a stick or cooked our meals on our Trangias (swedish cooking set). Picking blueberries and making pankakes. At the end of that rafting trip we dismanteled the rafts and made a sweet old Swede happy and gave him the sheets since we did not need them anymore. Then it was time to drive to the West coast for some real hanging loose at that rocky coast. Watching sail boats go by, swimming in the North sea or just day dreaming. Some went on a day long hike and my (boy) patrol leader and I we tried to catch a rabbit in a cemetary.
