Obtaining the First Aid / CPR skills card through Red Cross, Green Cross or American Heart Assoc. still applies for the Gold First Aid / CPR merit. The skills taught in the above classes cover only a few of the requirements for the First Aid Skills Merit. So Taking a accredited First Aid / CPR will not meet all the requirements for the First Aid Skills Merit. You as a leader can teach First Aid Skills without being an accredited instructor.
