I think it is a good thing for churches to claim Oct. 31 for God. We do not need to be bound by the world's standard of expectations for this night. After all, it was on Oct. 31 that Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis to the Wittenburg Door taking his stand for the things of God and claiming freedom from the power of the ungodly church leaders at that time. His breaking away and stance after that were not always popular, but he (with the power of God) made a difference, and so should we.
