"Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent. Since when have
terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on
notice before they strike?"

George W. Bush - State on the Union 2003

I agree 100% with that statement. As you know this is a continuation of the
Clinton policy signed into law in 1998 (Iraq Liberation Act) reserving the
right of the U.S. to take unilateral action against Iraq. He ordered missions
to "attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons programs" and
that "without a strong inspection system, Iraq would be free to retain and
begin to rebuild its chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons programs in
months, not years."

There are John Kerry and Edwards quotes saying Saddam had weapons and we have
the right to go at it alone if we decide to. I just don't have time to look
it up right now.

Al Gore: "We know that [Saddam] has stored secret supplies of biological and
chemical weapons throughout his country."

Hillary Rodham Clinton: Saddam's behavior "pointed to a continuing effort" to
produce weapons of mass destruction.

Remember before the Gulf War we really UNDERestimated Saddam's nuclear-
weapons program.

Congressman J. D. Hayworth:
"Given the consistent intelligence on Iraq's WMDs over three presidents,
given how much we didn't know because Saddam kicked out weapons inspectors,
and given the fact that September 11 made it painfully clear what can happen
when we ignore threats, President Bush made the right decision."
