I would have thought that going on a camp out with one boy would violate any sensible child protection policy.
It would certainly violate ours.

Also make sure you always have a game ready to play.  Not just the standard
team sports but some quick games that are easy to set up.  The manuals have
some good ones that my kids really loved.
