My only concern with the "Ranger vs. Youth" is the situation which my son is
in. The pastoral staff mandated that Dan *must* go into Youth, despite the
fact that there were situations making it much wiser for him to be in
Rangers with me... situations which ultimately lead to Dan's attempted
suicide a year or so ago. (It's related to his Tourette Syndrome, and how
the other kids were responding.)

There *has* to be room made for exceptions. If a teen feels more comfortable
working in Rangers in a junior leadership role instead of being "promoted"
to youth, we need to make allowances for such teens. "Painting" all with the
same "brush" is _not_ a good idea!
