*First.. I had a grilled chicken breast and side of salad and beans,
and had spent the weekend washing off the moss on the roof of rancho
deluxe with a gas powered pressure washer...

I fell of real quick into sleep....

In my dream.. I was driveing up a abandoned logging road with Josh my
son..

(My Chevy truck was sold to me by the Umqua National Forest service at
auction,
and still sports the classic USFS green paintjob.. This generaly does
not bugg me<G>
but has caused some adventures..)

..as we drove up the dirt road thru trees and brush.. the road became
narrow, ahead
I saw a mound in the road and speeded up, as it was a steep grad to the
top of the
hill....

*Suddenly... as we went up the mound the hood blocked the view forward,
and we fell
like a stone into a large dugout pit!!!

This pit was about 5' deep and plowed there by a backhoe, like a ww2
tank trap!
*My truck was standing on it's nose.. and leaned forward crushing the
windshield into our laps!

Josh and I scrambled to get out of the cab thru the side windows!

..and after we checked each other over.. and found we were ok.. I sat
down in disgust
at the situation I faced!

In a little while we heard movement and a gruff voice!

(*Get this.. only in a dream by -=A=-)

OUT OF THE BRUSH WALKED SMOKEY THE BEAR! *HE WAS MAD!

HE STORMED UP AND STARTED TO TELL ME WHAT A FOOL I HAD BEEN TO RACE
BLIND UP A ABANDONED ROAD!

"LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!"

*The big bear was ranting and raveing! He was pointing his paw at me and
then back at the truck..
He was yelling something about fire and how he had a lifetime fill of
people's careless actions!

*He would'nt let me get a word in edgewise!

I was saddened, and shocked and wanted to DIE!

First, I had made a mistake... I felt bad, but NOW SMOKEY a Bear I loved
and respected! He was upset
with me and I thought we were friends!!!! *I had let him down and that
was a great disappointment!

Smokey stoped... he said:

"So what do you have to say for yourself,HUH?"

(*I didn't want to say anything.. )

*Well... first, I'm not an employee of the Federal Forest service, but a
Royal Ranger..
and this is my personal truck, bought from the USFS...

Smokey gave me a far-off stare. and turned and left!
