One of the things that bothers me is that a pastor demands that 12 year
olds go right into youth and will not allow Trailblazers. Some 12 year olds
will feel very awkward about meeting with older teenagers. My son did when
he was 12. Now I ask this question. Is the man who is the trailblazer
commander qualified? We hear yes sometimes but we may not get the full truth.
I know that programs in our church have been ended to take care of a problem
with a worker. (easy way out).
Another issue is meeting nights. The youth group as a whole will affect
more kids than a Trailblazer group. So guess what? That means to avoid a
meeting night conflict have Trailblazers meet another night.
I don't know your exact problem, but corporation is a two way street. As
commanders all we can do is pray and turn it all over to God, after all this
is his ministry not ours. Do our job as unto Him as best we can.
