*I see them..

I don't think we have the same job... *I might be wrong! *Our code says:
To serve GOD my CHURCH and my FELLOWMAN.. Good Rangers *SERVE! I also
do this with balance,
keeping my priorities clear as to Family-Work-and Rangers.. *I'm a "Lay
worker" and that means mostly.. I "Lay out cash, and work for Jesus<G>"
As too working "against" each other... I sure it's more a struggle to
"Paddle in a straight line"
than outright rebellion... *Sometimes human leadership skills lag behind
in the adventure to cross
the big water and we leave a "fishtail" trail in our wake. *That is not
effecient<G> someone has taken the eyes off the mark.. Keeping the boat
center on is the duty of the Captain.. and that is *Pastor..
"Uth Pastor" can bridge the gender issues, and appeal through a fluid
cultural medium. He serves at the delight of the Sr.Pastor on "Staff"
In the past... this was the job of the president of the CA's
*Does he hold onto the "Traditions of Christ's Ambassadors?"
*No...Thats ok BTW<g> *It's not my fathers Oldsmobile anymore!Hheheeee
(*Few remember that was the name of AoG Youth! Heheee...)
*Do I cling to the traditions of Royal Rangers and FCF? *YOU BET!<G>
I'm PROUD!
My job as "Commander" . has specific limits, in authority and should
be several "pegs" below the authority of ANY PASTOR! *Remember... we are
REQUIRED to cling to them, even if we have a good arguement for
retaining the *status quo.. *Our thoughts should be "PURE" and above
reproch. *DUTY requires that..
We have a job in implementing a *program of organized activities that
appeal to boys, and we also stand as
mentors and guides in Christian liveing... If a Christian man is to
"submit" to authority and we find that a virtue, then we as Royal Ranger
Leaders have to culture that same virtue..in our service and in the
boys.
I beleve that is how we gain and win "favor"- build bridges of
understanding and find a path out of confrontation and conflict. *It is
not easy...
The "Ideal Outpost" is the one we work to "see" has boys in everyage
group and a active membership, going places and doing things...Perhaps
"Commanders" sometimes paint outside the lines in exercising
authority... and that has come back to haunt some of our leaders...We
certanly breed many attitudes that
say: *This is how it should be... or *The LTC says.... and that might
feel like rebellion to a young Uth pastor with a "Plan"
The answer is Communication..*Prayer...
