This idea sounds like a good one, however everyone may not be able to
support a separate checking account. Some states have laws that can prevent
the Rangers having one specifically for them. It would have to fall under
the umbrella of the church since Royal Rangers is an Outreach ministry of the
church and not a separate entity of itself. In such cases this would be a
good way to communicate between the scrod, Pastor, Council and the treasurer
or who ever administers funding for the church. To my understanding in some
instances, it can create a headache for tax purposes and I would recommend
future investigation before just going and getting one out of the blue.
Please be considerate to long term applications, pros and cons.
