As for the comment about being against the law to touch a wounded student or
anyone without surgical gloves that is only common sense with all the
diseases that could be transmitted by body fluids today.
Yes I know everyone is thinking aids but the big problem is hepatitus not
hiv.
In working in a school system we are required yearly to attend a blood-borne
pathegen class and gloves are required and provided to all personal.
If someone where to get an exposure and not be following the prescribed OSHA
procedures a workmans comp claim could be denied.
In Many cases such as a small cut,scrape,nosebleed, or any minor bleeding it
is very possible to aid the person without coming into contact. Just hand
that person the compress theirselves and as long as they are able let them
hold it on the wound theirselves.
