Word of Honor-

The US Declaration of Independence ends with the word "Honor".

"And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the
protection of divine providence (*God), we mutually pledge to
each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred Honor."

The founding fathers were acting as more than individuals, they were
representing a great people, in declaring independence from a
British King. To do so, was an act of defiance and the start of
armed conflict leading to open war!

That war brought us Freedom, at a great price. Their pledge was
the word of Honor of a commonwealth, to begin a republic, and cost
them treasure, tears, and blood.

What brought America to the front rank of nations was it's word of
Honor in strict observance of treaties and agreements. We pledged
our Honor to a friend, and 54,000 Americans and one Royal Ranger
gave their lives for that agreement!

The declaration or agreement of any institution becomes the word of
honor of that institution.

When we speak the Ranger Pledge- we agree to serve God, our churches
and our fellow man, to live by the Ranger Code, and make the Golden
Rule our daily rule!

We have a DUTY to be serious about what we *pledge...
We pledge it to GOD!

The Lord's promise is his word of Honor!
Nothing binds him or us like our own pledge!
