I have to agree. Three of our very active outpost council members are
Seniors. One still holds the Regional Chaplains position. The other two
has been in Rangers since it's conception here in the Midwest. The other
Outpost Councilman is down with use every week, since he is our Van driver.

I thought about that when I wrote the letter. We have approximately 80 men
that could be Ranger Commanders. That is not counting the evening workers,
and the more experienced men. Royal Rangers is a ministry like all the
others. You must be called, and listen to your calling. I have even ask
if some of the men could come down maybe one or two weeks for support.
Even this seems to be to big of a chore for them. I hate to sound so
negative, I love my brothers very much. I think most feels they are not
equipped to do the job or just don't know how to handle the boys. I have
been on my knees quite a bit here lately. I love working with the boys,
but when I took the Sr. Commanders job I wanted to deal with Rangers on
that end. I have not been able to do that like I want to. I'm doing the
best that I can. I also am the Buckaroo commander and have been helping
with pioneers. We need leaders. I have talked with a few of them women at
the church, and they have shown some interest. I have had one sit with my
wife in Straight Arrows and she seemed to like it, but she don't come all
the time. I don't know what we are going to do if we don't get more
leaders. I think that is one thing that all outpost needs prayer for.
Thanks for putting up with me for this long.

All,
Let's do some number crunching.
Let's say your church has 200 - 300 men.
Think about something. Of that number how many of the men are Senior
Citzens? Of that 200 - 300 how many of the men can't do Rangers because of
work, ect.?
Of the 200 - 300 how many simply don't have the calling?
I could on but I think you see the point.
Just because a church has 200 - 300 men doesn't mean they all have "The
Right Stuff" to become a commander.
