We bought several of the smaller dome type tents , even used a couple of
personal tents to start the outpost, and was not please with the performance
of any of the tents.
We started looking at canvas wall tents and bought our first one about 6
years ago 12x14 with a stove pipe outlet and have used this tent for many
camp outs now.
Have used it in rain, snow and cold (20 below) and it has never let us down.

Sleeping without cots we have had as many as 14 in this tent ( shoulder to
shoulder head to toe) But isnt that how we sleep in the smaller tents.
We now have tents of this size and at pow-wow last week we used both of the
tents with 21 people all in cots . A whole lot more comfortable than the
ground.

I know a wall tent sounds like a whole lot of money but when start figuring
120-180 per tent that can only sleep3-4 on the ground the 500-800 dollar
figure sounds a little more resonable.

My two cents worth, plus I like canvas.
