Brothers & Sisters,
I'm trying to get the FCF members in my area to set up a Kangaroo court
for next years Pow-Wow/Roundup. The problem is - no one knows how to do
one.
+Is there anyone out there that can give me some rules, procedures and/or
guidelines for such an event? I had a hard time explaining it to the
Staff, so I would like to get more information before trying again.
Basically, here's my perception of what happens at a Kangaroo court:
The FCF members would gather tidbits of information from the Rangers
about their Commanders and other Rangers in the camp. About an hour
before dusk and the council fire, everyone would meet at the FCF village
where the court would begin. When a person was called out, they were
told of their 'trumped up' charges and asked if the charges are true.
Even if the charges were not true, the court found them guilty. Then for
retribution, the guilty had to do some bizarre task, like catching eggs,
taking a pie in the face, etc. The participants would receive a
prize/gift afterwards, usually candy, a bolo tie, a watermelon, etc.
+Also, can you give me some descriptive recommendations for tasks the
accused can?
Thanking you in advance,
In Jesus,
Will
