In reference to the last sentence above:
What? That's not characterizing my words correctly!
Who's controlling? Who's holding back anyones freedom? Who's saying be
controlled by the flesh and not have the freedom of the Lord (in the
Spirit)? Also, God's freedom is within boundries. He set boundries and
look what happened to Adam and Eve, they wanted to exercise their
'freedom' to choose, even if God 'warned' them.
I am neither an authoritarian, nor will I be "permissive" in my faith.
God is the authoritative one. He sets the boundries. I will not force
my will on another, they have to live their own faith. But as a brother
I can be his or her "keeper".
>From the 7 Promises of a Promise Keeper: Promise 7, "A Promise Keeper is
committed to influence his world, being obedient to the Great Commandment
and the Great Commission." Also, part of Promise 2 says, "understanding
that he needs brothers to help him keep his promises. " I'm sure there
is an HonorBound (AoG) equivalent.
We should influence and help each other to be accountable!
The Bible says in John 18:37 & 38: "You are right in saying I am a king.
In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world,
to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."
What is truth?' Pilate asked."
The Pilate's on this net are always asking "what the truth is ". Take it
as judging or take it as a concern. All I was doing was giving some
cautious, "godly" advice. To use another favorite 'worldly' phrase, "it
all depends on how you look at it".
I could say more, but then, I feel I would be sinning.
In Jesus,
Will
