We have just that. It's called Challengers and the boy can choose which
"track" he wants. The award that can be earned is the Medal of Excellence.

<< Maybe RR needs another track for advancement. Kids who start when they are
14 or older, unless they are extremely motivated, don't want to go back and
do all of the trailblazer advancements. One option would be to have
another advancement track for those who start late or aren't motivated
enough to earn the GMA. The advancement wouldn't be as prestigious of
course, but it would give other kids something to strive for. In the
Olympic Section Northwest District at the time I was there (I have since
moved and gone to college, almost done with college now) I didn't know of
anyone who was not a commanders son who earned the GMA, they all were
commander's sons. Maybe it was a fluke at the time, or the district had
many unmotivated kids like me, but that's the way it was at the time. That
is my experience and that's what I can speak from. Just my two cents.
