I also wear my uniform proudly and for a reason, but I didn't really get what you were
saying here, Duane. I don't see my job here as to weed out "bad seeds".
You see, my gradfather use to be a gardener and there actually were alot of fruit
trees here before the "chip" became the cash crop in the Silicon Valley. When a tree
wasn't producing fruit or had some bad branches, instead of cutting down that tree,
one could cut off the bad branch and graft a branch from a good tree to help it
produce fruit.
We have had some boys come through our outpost that you say "How am I going to reach
them" but we do and they are fine young men now. Some of them did leave and are not
going to church now, but when they need some advice, are hurting or just looking for
some plain truth, they show up at the church looking for Cmdr. so-n-so. I guess I see
myself more of a "fruit cultivator" than a "fruit inspector". Not trying to flame you
