****This is long, but definitely worth reading!!!****
That is an awesome testimony about R.R. I have a powerful testimony as well.
16 years ago, wow that was a long time ago...I was 9 years old. My mom had
just seen an article in the local paper about this Boys Ministry called
Royal Rangers. She thought it would be great to have my son be apart of that
ministry. Then she goes to this Full Gospel Business Men's Meeting and gives
her heart to the Lord and gets Baptized in the Spirit all in the same night.
Long story - short - we immediately start going to an Assembly of God church
in Goldsboro, N.C. My first Wednesday night, I get introduced to this
ministry. My first commander ever was a guy named Ted Lewiston. I fell in
love with this man. You see I came from a broken home, I hadn't had a Dad to
call Dad in over 7 years. I followed this man everywhere, I thought(think)he
was (is)great. As timed progressed he and my mother started dating. They
eventually got married. I now call my first R.R. commander - DAD!!!
The story gets better though. I am now 25 years old, and a pastor on staff
at Harvest Chapel AoG in Sandwich, IL. But the kicker is I am also the "Sr.
Commander." We have a program that has struggled and is struggling, and is
barely alive. With God's help...We are going to get this program turned
around and make an impact of the world of Sandwich, IL.
Why I want to be a R.R.? These boys need us. The word talks about being a
Father to the Fatherless...That is want I needed...now that is want I am
going to do.
Jesus help us all to keep our focus on you. We want nothing more than to
Reach, Teach, and Keep boys for Christ. Give us the patience, creativity,
and direction to be successful in your eyes! Give us the anointing to
accomplish this!! We Love You, and thank you for calling us to make a
difference!!
You guys are doing a great job, keep up the Godly (Great) Work!! Sorry for
being long-winded, but what do you expect, I am a preacher!! Love You Guys!!
Pastor Dan

Subject: Re: [RR] *Why I want to be a Real Royal Ranger
I really agree with you on that one. Since I was a boy I thought Rangers was
and is "cool". I was the one wearing my uniform to show and tell at school,
I
had my room decorated in Royal Rangers and now as a commander I wear my
uniform and
T-shirts everywhere I can. I think of it as a witnessing tool. People ask me
what I do for fun, I tell the "Royal Rangers". I want to be a real Royal
Ranger because that's what God called me to do.
I remember as a Trailblazer helping in Pioneers a new boy coming, I told him
to try to get his parents to come but he said they wouldn't. But we keep on
him and finally they came and gave their hearts to God. To this day they are
still attending church. Why? Not because of me but because of a program
(Ministry) called Royal Rangers. It was at that point I knew this is what
God
wanted me to do, and if that is so then I want to be the best that I can.
