*question? Do men go out to harvest thorns, stickers and muck? *Nope!

It's taken me awhile to think about this. Do we harvest the weeds? My
answer is no, but let me qualify it. IMHO we are to plant seed, water
and then harvest.

Jesus used the parable of the wheat and tares to illustrate this point.
Even though good seed was planted, the devil planted weeds among the
good. Jesus explained that if the weeds are pulled up prematurely the
wheat may also be pulled up.

Now I'm not saying or labeling the inattentive young man as weeds. He
needs our good seed, watering and loving care that Jesus Christ
provides. Whether it looks like he is paying attention or not. The Word
of God can cut through and produce a new creation.

Personal revelation. Had it not been for a Christian friend, who loved
me besides all my short comings and sin, I might not have the personal
relationship with Jesus Christ I have today. He didn't care if I was an
idiot or not, he just loved me and fed the Word without forcing it down
my throat. I saw the peace that he had in his relationship with Jesus
Christ and it made me think about my life and relationship. Praise the
Lord.

What I am trying to say is do not give up on anyone, young, old or
whatever. We do not know the plan of our Lord or who will be saved. We
are to follow the words of our Lord, "Go therefore and make disciples of
all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and or the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have
commanded you..." Matt. 28:19-20a.

Let's not give up on those who look like lost causes, for by the grace
of God goes I.
